Commitment to Quality

Dedicated To Create Logs of the World’s Highest Precision without Compromise Even on a 0.5mm Error

The quality of Saela Homes is hidden precisely where you cannot see. From the selection of materials to pre-assembly inspections to on-site assembly, we pursue quality that provides the customers long-term peace of mind through a consistent system.

Challenge to Accuracy

Challenge to Accuracy

All log materials are processed in our own factory, achieving world-class precision with deviations kept within 0.5mm. Before this, the blades are adjusted, and after confirming the finish with a sample material, the main processing begins.

Quality Assured through Temporary Assembly Inspection

Quality Assured through Temporary Assembly Inspection

Before shipping, we temporarily assemble the logs in our own factory and carefully inspect the wood grain, knots, notches, dowel holes, electrical holes, and other details to prevent assembly defects. The progress of the inspection is shared with the client through those photos, providing transparency and peace of mind.

  • Inspecting surface scratches, wood grains and knots
  • Inspecting the positional accuracy of notches, dowel holes and electrical holes
  • Visualization through photo reports to the client
A Fusion of Our Unique Machines and Craftsmanship

A Fusion of Our Unique Machines and Craftsmanship

With our proprietary processing machine, the 'Seven-in-one-drive Drill,' we precisely machine seven dowel holes at once, minimizing misalignment of the dowel holes and achieving the optimal balance of quality and cost, to make assembly on site smoother.

Balancing quality and efficiency

Because of our own design and in-house operations we continuously implement detailed improvements and maintain high levels of processing accuracy and uniformity.

Commitment to Materials

Commitment to Materials

By adopting 10-meter-long laminated materials, we suppress the weaknesses of solid wood, such as "cracking" and "warping." This balances aesthetic beauty and structural stability, reducing the maintenance burden of logs over the long term.

  • Continuous Improvement through Regular Training and Feedbacks
  • Integrated Management with a View to On-site Assembly
Sustainability

Creating sustainable homes kind to both the Earth and people

Our company aims to create homes with minimized waste by considering environmental impact throughout the entire lifecycle, namely from material selection to design, construction and operation, featuring designs built to last and details easy to update.

01 Materials and indoor air

Japan-made adhesive awarded 'four-star' ratings

Adhesives and finishes are selected based on low VOC and F 'four-star' ratings among others. Consideration for indoor air quality not only affects people's health but also helps reduce the burden of ventilation.

02 Saving Energy with Passive Design

Passive Design to Make Use of Both Light and Wind

By utilizing natural light, ventilation, solar shading and insulation, comfort is achieved without relying too much on mechanical equipment. This helps reduce CO2 emissions as well as energy consumption during operation.

03 Long lifespan and Environment

Design for Long-term Use and Easy Maintenance

Cracks and warping are suppressed with laminated materials, ensuring structural stability. This will also help reduce waste of building materials and construction costs.

Creating Waste-free Homes through Do-It-Yourself to Live Comfortably

With a design to utilize wood and high-precision processing, we aim to reduce adjustments and rework on site, creating homes that the client can live in for a long time.

By improving processing accuracy, waste on the site is reduced, with designs that make the most of the materials, homes can be used for a long time, with prolongation of lifespan, the frequency of rebuilding house and its disposal is reduced, meaning minimization of construction waste materials.

To Create A Home in Which You Can Live Comfortably for A Long Time

A house is not finished once it is completed; it grows along with the changes of your lifestyle. Saela Homes carefully builds each log house one by one, focusing on 'ease of living' and 'ease of maintenance,' so that it deepens in character over many years.

  1. Manufacturing: Commitment to Precision and Material Selection

By understanding the characteristics of wood, making use of laminated materials and high-precision processing to suppress warping and distortion, we achieve construction accuracy.

  2. Construction: Assured and Reliable Assembling on Site

After going through the temporary assembly process at the factory, orderly construction is realized on site, which not only reduces the amount of waste during actual construction but also achieves both aesthetic finish and strength of log home.

  3. Lifestyle: To Enjoy Changes along with Log Wood

Log homes develop a unique ‘beauty over time’ with shrinkage and changes in the color of the wood as 'beauty with aging'. They are a type of home where you can savor those changes while being enveloped in the warmth of a pleasant atmosphere.

Just as the energy of nature deepens in flavor over time, log homes also become more cherished when they are properly cared for. Saela Homes values the principle that 'the longer you live in a home, the more beautiful it becomes.'
